NYC DOB SST Site Safety Training is a mandatory requirement on most New York City construction sites. Workers and supervisors at most New York City construction sites are required to obtain a Site Safety Training (SST) card in compliance with NYC Local Law 196.
To be eligible to receive your SST card you must obtain an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card and additional SST courses with combined total of 40 hours of training for the Site Safety (Worker), and 62 hours for the Supervisor SST card.

In this 1-Hour Asbestos and Lead Awareness (SST-B201) course, trainees will become generally familiar with the health effects of asbestos and lead in the workplace. They will be able to recognize places and locations where asbestos and lead containing materials may be found in the construction industry as well as be able to avoid health hazards associated with asbestos and lead.
The 1-Hour Confined Space Entry online training course is a specialized elective SST course counting towards your SST Card.

The 1-Hour Handling Heavy Materials and Proper Lifting Techniques course is a general elective SST course counting towards your SST Card.

The 2 Hour Drugs and Alcohol Awareness course covers topics of drug and alcohol dependence disorders and their effect on people, especially related to the workplace, but also friends and family. Students will learn about the dangers of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the workplace and how to recognize the signs that someone may be under the influence. Special attention is given to working on a construction sites while being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The 2 Hour Pre-Task Meeting course explains why pre-task safety meetings are important and introduces the student to the components of pre-task meeting. The course also explains how to engage an adult audience and how to hold their attention during such meetings.
2 Hour Site Safety Plan (SSP) online SST course provides a basic explanation of requirements of SSP, when is it required, and who is responsible for it.
The 2-Hour Toolbox Talk online DOB-approved SST course will help you learn how to lead effective toolbox talks and is required for obtaining Supervisor SST card.
