This PDH online course is a part of the Civil course category. This course provides guidance on how to establish the cause or causes for distress and deterioration of concrete, and the damage that has been detected. Since many of the symptoms may be caused by more than one mechanism acting upon the concrete, it is necessary to understand the basic underlying causes of damage and deterioration. This course presents information on the common causes of problems in concrete.
This course is intended for use by civil and structural engineers, materials scientists and engineers, construction professionals and others interested in learning about deterioration of concrete.

- Typical symptoms of concrete distress and deterioration, either observed during a visual examination or through laboratory evaluation
