Natural Gas Technologies in Building Application
The Natural Gas Technologies in Building Application online PDH course is a part of the Renewable Energy category of courses. This course identifies research and development (R&D) activities across several building applications where further investigations for NG equipment, efficiency, and technologies could result in impactful savings.
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Building Technology Office (BTO) within the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) seeks to reduce building energy consumption by 30% by 2030. Natural Gas (NG) technologies can assist BTO in achieving this goal.
The online PDH course is based on National Renewable Energy Laboratory publication titled “R&D Opportunities for Natural Gas Technologies in Building Applications”
This course is intended to be used by architects, all engineers and project managers and other construction professionals interested in learning about natural gas technologies in building applications.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Discuss R&D history, activities, and the challenges NG equipment faces and seeks to overcome
- Discuss technical barriers and other challenges to NG equipment
- List research and development opportunities for Tier I activities
