By completing the online OSHA 10 Construction course with PDH STAR you will receive a TEMPORARY SITE SAFETY SST card valid for 6 months. You can then complete the 30 hours of additional SST courses within the 6 months to qualify for the permanent Site Safety SST card valid for 5 years.
Local Law 196 requires new entrants to the New York City construction industry to complete 40 hours of NYC Department of Buildings approved site safety training. If you started work in New York City after December 1, 2019, you are considered a “new entrant” and you can obtain a Temporary SST Card by completing OSHA 10 for Construction Industry, and follow up with additional 30 hours of SST training in the next 6 months to obtain a permanent SST card.
